About Ridge Vineyards:
In 1962, Ridge made its first Monte Bello, and two years later its first zinfandel. Since that time, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare and exceptional vineyards where climate, soil, and variety are ideally matched.

At Ridge, we call our approach to winemaking “pre-industrial.” We believe that for anyone attempting to make fine wine, modern additives and industrial processing limit true quality.
Our Storied History:
The Monte Bello Vineyard produced its first wine in 1885, roughly the same year the Geyserville vineyard was planted--four Stanford scientists rebonded the winery in 1962, beginning Ridge’s modern history.
Organic & Sustainable:
Ridge is the largest farmer of organically certified grapes in Sonoma County and the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation.
Dedicated to Transparency:
Since the 2011 vintage, Ridge has included a list of all ingredients on our back label to demonstrate how little intervention is necessary to produce fine wine.
